Father Demands Murder Charges After Daughter Dumped Outside LA Hospital
Luis Cabrales Rivera is calling for murder charges against three men linked to the deaths of his daughter and her friend in Los Angeles. The coroner ruled both deaths homicides.

Father Pushes for Murder Charges in LA Drug Deaths Case
The father of interior designer Hilda Marcela Cabrales-Arzola, 26, is urging Los Angeles District Attorney George Gascón to file murder charges against three men connected to the deaths of his daughter and her friend Christy Giles, 24, nypost.com reports.
Luis Cabrales Rivera, 49, speaking from his hometown of Monterrey, Mexico, said he hopes Gascón will "listen to his heart" and pursue the toughest possible charges. "We want those people to spend the rest of their lives in prison and that they can't hurt anyone ever again," Rivera told the US Sun.
The two women were dropped off at two separate Los Angeles hospitals by two masked men on November 13. Both were pronounced dead. The coroner subsequently ruled Cabrales-Arzola's death a homicide, a finding her father said "reopened our wounds."
"Every update we get makes us remember what happened to our girl and makes us very sad," Rivera said. "But now we have hope that finally charges will be presented for homicide and these people can be put behind bars and will get what they deserve."
Toxicology Findings
According to People magazine, Cabrales-Arzola died of organ failure and "multiple drug intoxication." Tests revealed cocaine, MDMA — commonly known as ecstasy — and other undetermined substances in her system.
Giles, pronounced dead at the hospital on November 13, had a lethal combination of cocaine, fentanyl, the anesthetic ketamine and gamma-hydroxybutyrate acid — known as GHB, or the date rape drug — in her system, People reported.
Three Men Arrested
Three men were arrested in connection with the deaths. David Pearce, 40, was booked on suspicion of manslaughter. Michael Ansbach, 47, and Brandt Osborn, 42, were charged as accessories to manslaughter.
Two days after his initial arrest, Pearce faced additional charges related to the sexual assault of four women between 2010 and 2020. He has pleaded not guilty to two counts of forcible rape and one count each of rape of an unconscious or sleeping person and sexual penetration with a foreign object.
The LA County District Attorney's Office rejected the LAPD's case against Osborn, and his arrest was retroactively reduced to a detention. Ansbach, described as a cinematographer and cameraman, was released on December 16 on a $100,000 bond. Prosecutors have yet to file charges against him.
Night of November 13
Giles and Cabrales-Arzola are believed to have met the three men at an after-hours warehouse party on the night of November 13 before continuing to Pearce's apartment on Olympic Boulevard.
Rivera said what the suspects did was "indescribable" and that they had hurt "so many people who loved Christy and our daughter." He told the US Sun: "They did this knowing what could happen and didn't even have the heart to take Hilda and Christy to hospital in time for the doctors to save their lives."
Rivera called on the district attorney to act quickly. "We want the other tests to come back the quicker the better so they can present the appropriate charges," he said. "We want the highest possible charges of murder."
