San Francisco police have arrested four suspects in connection with the shooting of San Francisco 49ers defensive end Keion White, who was shot in the ankle at a Mission District nightclub in February during a Super Bowl party he was hosting, abc7news.com reports.

Police Chief Derrick Lew said the arrests were carried out across multiple cities in California and Georgia. Officers seized several firearms and nearly 15 pounds of narcotics in the course of the investigation.

The operation, named "D-Line," ran for several months and involved more than 50 search warrants and assistance from over 250 law enforcement personnel nationwide. The SFPD obtained four no-bail arrest warrants, which were executed between 7 and 9 October. Arrests were made in Stockton, Los Angeles, Irvine and Atlanta.

Two of the four suspects have been booked into San Francisco County Jail and are expected to be arraigned on Wednesday afternoon. The SFPD confirmed the investigation remains ongoing.

Officers first responded to the scene at around 4 a.m. on 9 February, at the 1700 block of Mission Street, where White was hosting an event at Dahlia's, a bar and nightclub. White had reportedly become involved in an argument connected to rapper Lil Baby before he was shot in the ankle.

Anyone with information regarding the case is asked to contact the SFPD at 415-575-4444, or to submit a tip by texting TIP411 with the message beginning with "SFPD." Anonymous tips are accepted.
