Man arrested for stabbing near Orange Ave in Orlando, victim in critical condition

A suspect was arrested after a late-night stabbing in downtown Orlando left one person in critical condition. The victim underwent emergency surgery.

According to clickorlando.com, Orlando Police arrested Deaveon Jaquan Brown following a stabbing that occurred late Friday night near the intersection of Orange Avenue and Central Boulevard.

Officers responded to the scene at around 10:30 p.m. and found the victim suffering from multiple stab wounds. The victim, whose identity police are withholding for safety reasons, was transported to hospital for emergency surgery and remained in critical condition at last check.

Detectives reviewed surveillance footage from the area and interviewed witnesses, which led to Brown's arrest on multiple charges including attempted murder and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.

Brown is currently being held at the Orange County Jail on no bond.
