Grays Farm Probe Behind Washington Bramble's Arrest at Town Hall
Antigua police say a prior Grays Farm investigation drove the arrest of Washington Bramble at a public town hall on Wednesday. Officers had made multiple failed attempts to locate him before the meeting.

Grays Farm investigation behind Bramble's town hall arrest, police confirm
The Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda confirmed on Thursday that Washington Bramble had been sought in connection with an ongoing Grays Farm investigation before officers detained him at a public town hall meeting on Wednesday evening, according to antigua.news.
In a statement issued by the Police Administration on October 22, authorities said several attempts had previously been made to locate Bramble for questioning in relation to the matter at Grays Farm, but those efforts had not succeeded.
His arrest took place on Wednesday, October 21, at the John E. St. Luce Finance and Conference Centre during a scheduled town hall meeting.
Arrest unrelated to the meeting itself, police stress
The Police Administration issued the clarification in direct response to questions surrounding the circumstances of the arrest, stressing that the police action had no connection to Bramble's presence at or participation in the public gathering.
Authorities maintained that the arrest was tied solely to the earlier Grays Farm matter and the investigation still under way at the time.
The police statement did not disclose the nature of the investigation, nor did it indicate whether formal charges had been brought against Bramble.
Call for continued public cooperation
Alongside the arrest disclosure, the Police Administration reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining public safety and security across Antigua and Barbuda.
The Administration also appealed to citizens and residents to continue cooperating with law enforcement officers as they carry out their duties, describing public cooperation as essential to effective policing and to preserving peace and security throughout the country.
