All Four Escaped Juveniles Back in Custody After Two-Day Search

All four teenagers who escaped from the Bolans Police Station are back in police custody, antigua.news reports, following a two-day search operation that concluded on Thursday, October 8.

The final three juveniles were apprehended in the Liberta area at approximately 10:30 a.m. on Thursday during a police search operation. Their arrest came less than 24 hours after 17-year-old Damien Jeremiah turned himself in on Wednesday evening, October 7, accompanied by a relative.

The four teenagers, aged between 15 and 17, are residents of the Dennis Bowers Rehabilitation Centre. They had been held at the Bolans Police Station when they allegedly escaped from lawful custody on Tuesday, October 6.

Their disappearance prompted an immediate police search and raised questions about the circumstances under which the group managed to leave the station.

In a statement issued Thursday, the Police Administration expressed appreciation to members of the public for their vigilance, cooperation and continued support throughout the search. The administration also commended the officers involved for their diligence, professionalism and commitment to securing the safe return of all four juveniles.

Although the search has concluded, questions remain about how the teenagers managed to escape. Police have indicated that an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident is ongoing.
