Operation in Parque Chacabuco: 52 cannabis plants and firearms in an apartment on Salvigny at 1800
The Buenos Aires City Police seized three firearms and 52 cannabis plants during a raid on a residence in Parque Chacabuco, as part of an investigation into domestic violence. According to cadena3.com, the operation took place in an apartment on Salvigny Street at 1800.
The operation was ordered by National Civil Court number 23, following a complaint that resulted in a restraining order and the seizure of all weapons belonging to the accused.
Officers from Neighbourhood Police Station 7B identified a 32-year-old man at the location who was with his partner. During the intervention, agents found three firearms of different calibres along with their corresponding ammunition.
Among the seized weapons were a Taurus .357 Magnum revolver, a Glock 17 calibre 9x19 pistol, and a Hatsan Escort semi-automatic shotgun calibre 12.
In two rooms of the apartment, officers also discovered 52 cannabis plants distributed across two indoor growing operations. This is significant because the accused held authorisation from REPROCANN—the Cannabis Programme Registry—which permitted him only the possession of eight plants.
After consulting with the judicial authority, agents notified the man of the restraining order in force against him. Both the plants and the firearms were seized and placed at the disposal of the courts.
