Felcn officers discovered US banknotes in a small aircraft bound for Beni. The pilot was taken into custody and forensic analysis was ordered to clarify the origin of the money.

At El Trompillo aerodrome, Felcn personnel seized a considerable amount of US currency during a standard check of a small aircraft that was preparing to depart for the city of Trinidad, in the department of Beni.
The uniformed officers reviewed the aircraft commander's belongings and located a dark-coloured bag inside which were multiple bundles of 50 and 100 dollar bills, totalling approximately 16 bundles.
Following this discovery, the Specialist Prosecution for Controlled Substances decided to detain the pilot for the purposes of investigation. At the same time, it ordered the immobilisation of the monetary goods and the aircraft itself through official seals, whilst investigations continue.
The central objective of the investigation is to clarify the origin of the funds, their destination, and whether their possession and transport comply with current regulations. As part of the proceedings, technical studies will be conducted such as micro-aspiration, aimed at detecting possible traces of contact with illicit substances or evidence of links to drug trafficking networks.
This intervention is part of the inspection measures that Felcn deploys on a recurring basis in the country's airspace, as part of the fight against drug trafficking and associated crimes.
