Anti-drug officers intercepted a marijuana shipment exceeding 500 kilos on a road in the Oruro department. The operation culminated with the capture of the vehicle's driver.
During a routine inspection on the route to Uyuni, FELCN members selected a car based on unusual behaviour. Upon searching it, they found 508 packages containing plant material of a greenish hue; immediate testing showed it was cannabis.
The drugs came in fragmented blocks and distributed in dozens of bags inside the vehicle. Police retained all evidence and the vehicle, handing the driver over to the justice system for further investigation.
