Detention of Bolivia's Attorney General sparks vigil and protests at Public Ministry in La Paz

According to correodelsur.com, in the early hours of Thursday a major police operation was deployed at the headquarters of the Public Ministry in La Paz, hours after the arrest of Bolivia's Attorney General, Roger Mariaca.
At the same time, prosecutors and officials from the Public Ministry installed a vigil outside the institutional headquarters to protest against police actions.
In addition to Mariaca, officers detained the departmental prosecutor of Santa Cruz, Alberto Zeballos, along with other officials. The Public Ministry described these actions as a "kidnapping".
The officials also denounce a series of crimes committed by police upon entering the institution's facilities. In the city of Sucre, the arrest of at least seven people was reported as part of the same operation.
