Police operation surrounds the Departmental Public Prosecutor's Office in Santa Cruz

According to eju.tv, officers of the Bolivian Police cut off traffic on the first ring of Santa Cruz, between Beni and Aroma streets, outside the Departmental Public Prosecutor's Office. The deployment occurred following the apprehension of departmental prosecutor Alberto Zeballos and the state's general prosecutor, Roger Mariaca.

The intervention in Santa Cruz was carried out simultaneously with operations at the prosecutor's offices in Sucre and La Paz. In Sucre, employees from the Communications department were apprehended while they were conducting a live broadcast to denounce what they described as a violation of their rights.

As of 00:30, there was no confirmed information about arrests within the Santa Cruz prosecutor's office headquarters. However, police activity continued to be active at Viru Viru airport in Santa Cruz. At that location, the presence of Intelligence officers, the Delta unit, and the Special Anti-Drug Trafficking Force (FELCN) was identified.
