Interpol and Felcn arrest Bolivian wanted by Brazilian authorities

A Bolivian national wanted by Brazil for international drug trafficking and organised crime was arrested in Santa Cruz, according to El Deber. The operation was carried out jointly by Interpol officers and the Special Force for the Fight Against Drug Trafficking (Felcn).

The detainee, identified as Rolando Requena Justiniano, was captured in the Las Palmas neighbourhood in compliance with a judicial order and an Interpol red notice issued at the request of Brazilian authorities for drug trafficking offences. At the time of his arrest, as he was leaving his residence, he did not resist and was immediately transferred to Interpol facilities.

Felcn reports indicate that Requena Justiniano's name also appears in investigations into the case of a shipment of one tonne of cocaine concealed in almonds, discovered in Santa Cruz in November 2024.

On that occasion, Felcn raided an export company located next to the Guapilo canal. At the premises, 70 cardboard boxes of almonds were found, of which 53 contained high-purity cocaine impregnated inside. Expert examination determined a gross weight of one tonne, ready for export abroad.
