Young man stabbed at Vinto festival dies; suspect arrested in Sipe Sipe
A 28-year-old man died after being stabbed in the chest during a gang fight at a festival in Vinto, Cochabamba. Police detained the main suspect in Sipe Sipe.

Police detained a man identified as the suspected perpetrator in the death of Jhamil Ch.V., 28, who was stabbed during a fight between two groups of gang members in Vinto, Cochabamba, according to El Deber.
The attack occurred in the early hours of Friday, 4 September, near the main plaza of Vinto, during a festival marking the municipality's anniversary. According to police information, the clash involved members of two gangs.
The victim sustained a wound from a sharp object in the chest area. He was initially treated at a medical centre in Vinto and then transferred to Viedma Hospital in Cochabamba, where he died upon arrival at the hospital due to the severity of the injury. Three other people were wounded during the same clash.
Colonel Wilson Flores, commander of the Valle Bajo region, stated that the incident occurred amid the consumption of alcoholic beverages.
Following news of the event, officers from the Department of Criminal Analysis and Intelligence (DACI) and the Special Police Intelligence Centre (CEIP) launched an operation to locate the suspect. The investigation allowed them to locate him in a property near the municipality of Sipe Sipe, where he was arrested and transported by patrol to police headquarters for investigative purposes.
The Special Force Against Crime (Felcc) of Cochabamba took charge of the investigations, with the objective of identifying all participants in the fight and determining individual responsibilities. The authorities seek to establish the exact degree of involvement of the detainee in the attack.
The body of Jhamil Ch.V. was sent to the Forensic Research Institute (IDIF), where the necessary forensic medical examinations will be carried out to determine precisely the causes of death.
