Attempted femicide in Punata: partner attacks with knife and flees
A 31-year-old woman arrived at a medical centre with stab wounds to her face and right hand after being attacked with a blade by her partner, according to El Deber. The incident occurred on the evening of Thursday 25 June in the OTB Los Nuevos area, 1ro de Mayo neighbourhood, Aramasi community, municipality of Punata.
Medical staff alerted the police after treating the patient. Officers attended the health centre to begin investigations. The victim, once she had received treatment and stitches, was discharged and transferred to the police station to formalise her complaint, according to the preliminary report.
The alleged attacker, identified as Samuel E.S., aged 24, is at large. The injuries sustained by the woman were not serious.
The case is being investigated by the Special Force to Combat Violence (Felcv) of Cochabamba under the alleged crime of attempted femicide.
