Alleged hitman in Beller case claims to have key information and demands guarantees to turn himself in

Colombian 'Juancho' released a second video in which he claims to have locations, numbers and names related to the attack on Nadia Beller.

'Juancho' appears in video again and demands guarantees before surrendering to police

Colombian identified as 'Juancho', alleged hitman in the attack against Nadia Beller, released a second video from hiding, according to El Deber. In the footage he reaffirms that at least seven people took part in the violent act against Fernando Cerimedo's ex-partner, and insists that not only the police are looking for him: those who allegedly planned the attack would also be on his trail.

In the video, 'Juancho' reaffirmed his account of events. He claims to have been contacted by third parties to organise what they described as merely a "scare" to Beller. "I remain firm with my version, with the only version, with the true version, trying to provide key clues to the police so they can continue their investigation into the people who truly have some degree of responsibility and participation in the facts," he declared.

The Colombian specified that the seven involved include both material and intellectual perpetrators: those who carried out the attack and those who financed it. He also showed a mobile phone number with which he allegedly had contact for the last time before the incident.

"I have many more things to contribute to the investigation, much more information, more important data on this matter. I have locations, I have people, I have places where we met, I have telephone numbers," he stated, according to El Deber. With that declaration, the suspect conditioned his collaboration on obtaining prior guarantees from the authorities.

'Juancho' described his current situation as increasingly compromised. "My life continues to be in danger. My situation is becoming more delicate each day. They are already cutting off my escape routes," he stated. He indicated that he operates in an area which, in his own words, is territory of the people pursuing him, which gives them greater freedom of movement compared to him.

The suspect said he was already coordinating his surrender with his lawyers and with the competent authorities. "I am speeding up the matter of my surrender, it has to be soon. I already feel very pressured by these people," he stated. He added that he finds himself trapped between persecution by the alleged organisers of the attack and police pursuit, a situation he described as untenable.

The National Police, meanwhile, has not publicly confirmed progress in coordinating that possible surrender nor has it revealed the suspect's whereabouts.
