The Court of First Instance of Bonaire, Sint Eustatius and Saba is hearing the criminal case Papaya on Tuesday, which concerns the death of firefighter Sheldon J. on Saba. This is reported by bonaire.nu. The hearing on Bonaire is expected to run from 09.00 to 17.00 hours.
The Public Prosecution Service suspects Rudolfo V. v. H. (36) and Anthony N.W. (26) of involvement in the shooting, which took place in September last year. Both suspects have denied any involvement during earlier procedural hearings.
The justice authorities contend on the basis of the investigation that this concerns a premeditated murder. The case file contains, among other things, DNA samples and video footage which, according to the Public Prosecution Service, are incriminating for the two suspects.
