A man was detained on Monday morning transporting 340 blocks of cannabis on the Castello Branco motorway.

A driver was detained on the morning of Monday, 13 July, on suspicion of transporting a large cargo of narcotics along the Castello Branco Motorway (SP-280), in the section that crosses Porangaba, in the interior of São Paulo state.
Officers from the Highway Police made the arrest and, upon searching the vehicle, located 340 blocks of cannabis in the rear compartment and inside the car. The total weight reached 265.3 kilograms of the substance.
The drugs and the vehicle were seized. The detainee was taken to the local police station, where the incident was classified as drug trafficking.
