Operation Linha Sombria arrests nine in drug delivery network in Feira de Santana

Nine people were arrested on the morning of Friday the 4th during Operation Linha Sombria, an action by the Civil Police against a group specialising in drug trafficking through a "delivery" system, as reported by g1.globo.com. The operation concentrated on Feira de Santana, the second-largest city in Bahia, with arrests also in Itaberaba, in the same region, and in Barueri, in the state of São Paulo.
A 39-year-old man, identified as the leader of the organisation, and his partner, aged 20, were located in the SIM neighbourhood in Feira de Santana. The woman is under investigation as an active member of the criminal group.
At the couple's residence, police seized a pistol, a .38 calibre revolver, ammunition and three magazines. Also collected were 11 mobile phones, tablets, a notebook, more than R$ 2,000 in cash, precision scales, a money-counting machine and card machines. Among the seized assets were also watches, designer glasses, a motorcycle and a car valued at more than R$ 400,000.
Five other suspects were arrested in execution of temporary arrest warrants during the operation. The remaining two arrests occurred in Itaberaba and in Barueri (SP). Narcotics were also seized during the action.
In total, 29 search and seizure warrants were carried out in neighbourhoods of Feira de Santana — Mangabeira, Campo Limpo, Feira V, Gabriela, Sobradinho and Tomba — as well as addresses in the state of São Paulo. More than 140 civil police officers participated in Operation Linha Sombria.
