Police operation arrests pair and seizes firearms in interior of São Paulo
An operation launched on Wednesday (15) by the 8th Battalion of Special Police Operations resulted in the detention of two men in the Presidente Prudente region, in the interior of São Paulo. The initiative stemmed from a report about illegal trafficking in controlled substances in the city of Pirapozinho.
The police officers located the first suspect in Tarabai. During the approach, illicit substances were found, a precision scale, a toy firearm and various materials associated with the crime. The second individual was apprehended in Presidente Bernardes, where officers seized a .32 calibre revolver with filed-off serial number and two rounds of ammunition.
The detainees were taken to the Civil Police Precinct in Tarabai, where they remain in custody. They face charges of drug trafficking, criminal association and illegal possession of a firearm.
