Over four consecutive days — from 10 to 13 July — Federal Police teams operated at São Paulo International Airport, located in Guarulhos. The operations culminated in the capture of half a dozen suspects and the seizure of a significant quantity of narcotics.
In two separate procedures, a Peruvian national and another Brazilian were apprehended in flagrante delicto for participation in the illicit trade of psychoactive substances between countries. Together, the cases resulted in the removal from circulation of 8 kg of cocaine.
In parallel, four other Brazilians were arrested on varying charges: extortion by threat, verbal abuse combined with disobedience to authority, racial discrimination and sexual abuse against someone in a vulnerable situation.
The institution did not provide further clarification regarding the specific contexts of the detentions nor did it reveal the names of those involved.
