Police arrest man for drug trafficking and seize more than a thousand doses of drugs in northern São Paulo
An integrated operation between the Tactical Force of the 43rd Military Police Battalion and the Canine Unit of the 15th Battalion of Special Police Actions (BAEP) resulted in the detention of a man for illegal drug trafficking in the northern zone of São Paulo. The operation was carried out last Wednesday (8th) in a community in Vila Medeiros.
During patrols in the region, military agents stopped a suspect who was carrying a bag containing illicit substances. Sniffer dogs assisted in locating other packages with drugs, as well as money and equipment used in the preparation and packaging of narcotics.
The seizure totalled more than a thousand units of narcotics, including cocaine, marijuana, crack and ecstasy. Eleven precision scales and a sum of money were also collected.
The detainee attempted to present false documents to obstruct identification, but police were able to confirm who he was. Subsequently, it was discovered that he already had a record for property crimes in the area.
The case was referred to the 73rd Police District, where the man was placed at the disposal of the Judiciary.
