Police capture man accused of murder in Sorocaba bar
Security forces from São Paulo detained on Monday (13) an individual identified as the perpetrator of the murder of Vinícius Giné da Silva. The young man, who was 27 years old, lost his life in April of this year inside a commercial beverage sales establishment in the city of Sorocaba, in the metropolitan region of the interior of São Paulo.
The arrest was carried out by members of the Specialised Division of Criminal Investigations, with assistance from officers of the 4th Police District of the city. The suspect was found in the Jardim Ipiranga neighbourhood. During the operation, agents also searched the detainee's residence in search of evidence that could help clarify the crime.
According to information gathered by the authorities, the crime occurred when the aggressor fired several shots inside the commercial establishment, which had a large number of patrons at the time. The investigation indicates that the motive for the murder would have roots in previous friction between the perpetrator and the dead man.
The police record indicates that the bullet struck the cranial region of Vinícius whilst he was at the location. There was no survival. Forensic experts were mobilised to the scene, and the event was documented at the municipal Police Station.
Vinícius's burial took place the day after the event, at Santo Antônio Cemetery in the city.
