Suspect in killing of Chinese merchant in supermarket car park arrested
A 26-year-old man wanted by the courts was arrested on Thursday evening (5) in São José dos Campos, according to g1.globo.com. Lucas Bezerra da Silva had an outstanding temporary arrest warrant and is under investigation for the death of merchant Yunsheng Chen, 55 years old.
Municipal civil guards located and detained the suspect on Avenida dos Sindicalistas, in the Campo dos Alemães neighbourhood. The Civil Police confirmed Lucas's involvement in the case.
The crime occurred in November of last year, in the car park of Yunsheng's market, on Avenida São Jerônimo, in the São Judas Tadeu neighbourhood. According to the investigation, the victim was shot in the head and chest.
Two other men are identified as suspects in the murder. The police reported that both have already been identified and remain under investigation. The case remains under investigation by the Civil Police.
