A 28-year-old man was arrested on warrant for vehicle arson in Limassol on 14 September. He is to appear before the District Court tomorrow.

Car arson in Limassol: 28-year-old arrested on testimony
Limassol police arrested a 28-year-old man on a court warrant today as part of an investigation into vehicle arson that occurred on 14 September 2026, according to Politis.
At around 2.30 am that morning, a fire broke out in a vehicle parked in the yard of a 25-year-old owner's residence in the Limassol district. Members of the Police and Fire Service attended the scene and extinguished the fire, which had completely destroyed the vehicle. On-site examinations that followed concluded that the fire had been set deliberately.
During the investigation, testimony was secured against the 28-year-old, which led to his arrest. The suspect was placed in immediate custody and is expected to appear tomorrow before the Limassol District Court for the issuance of a detention order.
The Episcopi Police Station and the Limassol CID are continuing the investigation.
