In late May, customs officers searched 17 flats in three northern German cities. The focus of investigators was an alleged drug network that apparently transported its goods through the region in a modified vehicle.
During the raids in Bremen, Oldenburg and Vechta, investigators found approximately 13 kilogrammes of narcotics, two functional pistols, various knives and more than 40,000 euros in cash, according to buten un binnen. Two men were taken into custody.
According to investigators, a total of eleven suspects are alleged to have been involved in organised trafficking in cocaine, cannabis and prescription medicines. For distribution, they allegedly used a vehicle with a concealed compartment measuring just over one metre long and 30 centimetres wide.
In a former car dealership, officers also discovered what appeared to be a packaging station. It is suspected that substances were portioned and prepared for sale there.
