A kiosk owner in Munich-Schwabing sold cocaine and marijuana under the cover name "Special Pizza". According to the Süddeutsche Zeitung, Munich District Court sentenced the man for unauthorised dealing in narcotics and cannabis to a custodial sentence of one year and two months, suspended on probation.
Anyone who ordered a "Special Pizza" at the kiosk with its adjoining small trattoria did not receive food, but cocaine. Two plainclothes detectives became aware of the operation and visited it.
Initially, the officers noticed that the kiosk was offering already registered SIM cards – a breach of telecommunications law. When an investigator then remarked approvingly that "you can get everything" there, the owner laughed and replied: "Yes, white and green as well." In drug circles, these terms stand for cocaine and marijuana.
The officers placed an order for two grammes under false pretences and discreetly called for reinforcements. During the subsequent search, they seized three grammes of cocaine and 53 grammes of marijuana.
In court, the defendant admitted to selling drugs from the kiosk repeatedly – although "not a thousand times". He cited personal problems and unexpected pressure as a self-employed person as the explanation, which according to his own account had made him cocaine-dependent.
The court viewed the confession and remorse shown in his favour. As an aggravating factor, it considered that the defendant offered multiple drugs simultaneously and that these were of particularly high quality and high active substance content. The District Court ruling (ref. 1111 Ds 366 Js 119675/26) is final. The kiosk has since ceased operations.
