Proceedings against two defendants began this week before the 29th Criminal Chamber of Munich Regional Court I. The 46-year-old Eren S. and his associate Emre M. are accused of putting approximately 84 kilogrammes of marijuana into circulation over the past year.
Investigators traced the pair on 12 September 2025 in Riem. S., who works professionally in wholesale and retail trade, brought five boxes to a warehouse on Schusterbauerstrasse that day. Each container held over nine kilos of the illegal substance. In the vehicle of his accomplice, officers found four further containers with comparable contents. During a subsequent search of the main suspect's flat, investigators discovered a further almost 21 kilogrammes.
Police had been expecting the delivery at the workshop hall and arrested both men. Since then, they have been in pre-trial detention. The seized quantity exceeds the limit of 25 grammes permitted under the KCanG legislation by many times over.
Particularly problematic: laboratory tests showed that the plants had been treated with ADB-Binaca. This synthetic cannabinoid substantially potentiates the psychoactive effect. Both defence lawyers argued that their clients had no knowledge of this additive.
The main defendant admitted to the transport. He stated that he had been in financial distress and therefore accepted an order to forward the goods. He is said to have received payment of ten cents per gramme. The second suspect explained that he had not known the contents of the boxes, although he considered it quite possible that they contained drugs.
The judges intend to deliver a verdict before the end of the current month.
