According to bazonline.ch, German Federal Police arrested a Romanian national on Friday at midday at the Neunenburg – motorway border crossing. The man, residing in Romania, was listed in the Schengen Information System (SIS) for arrest with a view to extradition.

Italian authorities accuse the man of obtaining approximately 115,000 euros during a safe-cracking robbery. Following his check at the border, he was provisionally arrested and brought before an investigating judge.

Federal Police officers subsequently transferred him to a correctional facility. He remains there pending a decision on his extradition to Italy.
