Sleeping man thwarts caravan theft in Unterhaching
Three men attempted to steal two camping trailers in Unterhaching. A 43-year-old who was sleeping in one of the caravans noticed the manoeuvre and alerted officers.

A 43-year-old from the Munich area had spent the night in a camping trailer parked at the roadside in Unterhaching. Around midnight, three unknown men hitched the caravan to a vehicle. The sleeping man was awakened by this and immediately called the emergency number.
The officers who were called to the scene were able to apprehend the trio in Albert-Schweitzer-Straße. The detainees consist of a 43-year-old from the Weilheim-Schongau district and two other individuals aged 28 and 45 who have no fixed address in the Federal Republic. They were travelling in two motor vehicles.
Investigators also discovered that the group had already stolen another trailer. Together, detectives estimate the value of the stolen goods at approximately 15,000 euros.
The three suspects are now in custody pending investigation. Their vehicles have been seized.
