PET investigates parallel threats against Danish food shops and air traffic

The Police Intelligence Service cannot conclude whether cyber attacks against food shops and bomb threats against air traffic are connected events. This emerges from a written statement which PET sent to Ritzau on Friday afternoon and reported by B.T.

The service also cannot at present establish who is behind the attacks.

"PET is following information about cyber attacks against food shops and bomb threats against air traffic in cooperation with, amongst others, the police and our foreign partners," the statement says.

PET emphasises that it is the service's task to identify and counter threats to Denmark's security, and that it is investigating possible connections across events and countries – including whether threats and disruptions are being used to create unease and influence Danish society.
