Two American businessmen charged with serious fraud in Glostrup – facing up to 12 years in prison

Multi-year case against billionaire fraudsters begins in Glostrup
According to Politiken, the case against two wealthy American businessmen began on Tuesday at Glostrup Court. Matthew Stein, 59 years old, and Jerome Lhôte, 53 years old, are charged with serious fraud and both face up to 12 years in prison.
The two had previously attempted to settle the matter by promising to repay 1.55 billion kroner to Denmark. That did not resolve the case.
During the initial hearing, both defendants kept a low profile. The only thing they commented on was their dates of birth.
