Electric scooters deliberately left on road near Keila: three young men identified
According to Delfi.ee, West-Harju police have identified three young men – aged 17, 18 and 24 – who deliberately left electric scooters on the road on Paldiski highway near Keila.
The first report was received at the end of September: an electric scooter was lying on the road near the Mudaauk bus stop. Hisko Vares, head of the West-Harju Police Department's investigation unit, said that over the course of a month, police received a total of ten similar reports. "In one instance, a car drove over a scooter, but fortunately no one was injured," said Vares.
The investigation was hampered by the absence of surveillance cameras in the area and the lack of direct eyewitnesses. Local police officers gathered additional information from residents of the area to clarify both the circumstances and the perpetrators.
"The young men endangered other people with their actions and it is only fortunate that no one was injured," emphasised Vares. To clarify all the precise circumstances, a misdemeanour proceedings has been initiated.
