Police were called to a wedding held in Tammela in the night leading into Sunday after an altercation broke out amongst the guests.
According to those present, several people had participated in the quarrel and shoving. The most serious incident occurred when a man in his fifties struck another man of similar age in the face with his fist. The man who was struck fell to the ground and lost consciousness momentarily.
The victim had no visible injuries, but was transported by ambulance to hospital for observation.
The perpetrator is suspected of assault.
