Finnish court sentenced drug gang members to up to 13 years in prison

The East Uusimaa District Court in South Finland's Uusimaa region sentenced multiple people to prison terms in a large drug case, including Estonians. Members of the 27-person international criminal gang received sentences of up to 13 years in prison for smuggling and distributing over 600 kilogrammes of drugs.

The criminal gang included several Estonians, among whom were also gang leaders. The group operated in an organised manner, transporting large quantities of prohibited substances and distributing them further.

The court made its ruling public on Sunday. The prosecutor accused gang members of large-scale drug trafficking directed towards the Finnish market.
