Pedestrians were threatened with a sharp weapon near Oulu city centre on Wednesday. Police apprehended the suspects and seized the stolen property.

On Wednesday afternoon, a man and woman taking a walk near Oulu city centre became victims of a violent robbery. A couple cycling towards them demanded money from them and displayed a sharp weapon.
The perpetrators obtained property belonging to the woman and fled in the direction of the city centre. Police apprehended the suspects later in Oulu city centre. The seized stolen moveable property was also found in their possession.
Police arrested the man and woman on suspicion of aggravated robbery and unlawful threatening.
