Examination before magistrate expected for the Trappes attack

According to TF1 Info, the presumed perpetrator of the attack on 25 October in the Yvelines was transferred to Paris during the night of 28 to 29 October to be presented to an investigating judge specialising in counter-terrorism. Kévin T., 39, is suspected of having killed one person and wounded seven others during a series of attacks carried out by car in Trappes and La Verrière.

The fatal victim, Pengo Bossio Wangi, was a 26-year-old French national from the Democratic Republic of Congo. Among the seven wounded were several people of African or North African origin. An 11-year-old girl was seriously wounded; three patients remained hospitalised on Monday, including one with a life-threatening prognosis.

Counter-terrorism prosecutor Olivier Christen will hold a press conference on Thursday at 11am at the Paris judicial court. When questioned earlier, the suspect said he did not contest "the factual elements of the case" but denied the racist nature of the acts of which he is accused.
