Racist shooting in the Yvelines: Kevin T. reveals his motives coldly
A 39-year-old man opened fire on several people in the Yvelines, killing an MMA fighter and injuring five others. He has admitted to racist motives.

Deadly shooting in Trappes: suspect confesses calmly and with racist views
Arrested on Friday, 23 October after a deadly shooting in the Yvelines, Kevin T., 39, immediately admitted to being the perpetrator of the shots, according to lematin.ch. He revealed his motives with a coldness described by police as "stoical".
"I was fed up with them," he reportedly told investigators, referring to Black and Arab people. According to Le Monde, he also claimed to want to "avenge the shopkeepers" whose establishments had been looted during rioting the previous weekend.
A murderous journey across several municipalities
On Friday morning, Kevin T. drove a grey Renault Clio through several municipalities in the Yvelines, armed with a submachine gun. He opened fire first in Trappes, then in La Verrière.
A 26-year-old MMA fighter was killed; five other people were injured, including a 12-year-old girl. The suspect was eventually arrested in Coignières, ending his journey.
Emmanuel Macron, who had travelled to Trappes on Friday itself, condemned a "racist terrorist act".
Mein Kampf, drugs and booby-trapped device found at his home
Searches carried out at the suspect's flat, located in Plaisir, reinforced suspicions about his ideological motives. Investigators notably found a copy of Mein Kampf, Adolf Hitler's manifesto, as well as a Bible and a Qur'an.
More concerning still, a potentially booby-trapped device was discovered: three gas bottles connected by electrical wires to a timer. A van belonging to the suspect was examined with caution, with police fearing the presence of explosives.
Cocaine was seized from him at his arrest. Toxicological analyses confirmed the presence of cannabis and cocaine in his blood, announced the National Counter-Terrorism Prosecutor (Pnat) on Sunday.
Profile of a discreet man with a criminal record
Born in Saint-Cyr-l'École, Kevin T. lived alone in a flat in Plaisir. His neighbours describe him as discreet and unsociable, knowing almost nothing about him. He had already been convicted four times, notably for theft and driving under the influence.
His custody was lifted on Saturday evening, following a psychiatric examination carried out that evening, announced the Pnat. The family of the 26-year-old man killed in the shooting expressed surprise at this decision, according to his lawyer.
