Police officer attacked with Molotov cocktail during mobilisation on 31 October
A police officer was targeted with a Molotov cocktail during the third day of mobilisation on 31 October in France. Clashes broke out in several cities in the late afternoon.

Incendiary attack against a police officer
According to BFM TV, a police officer was victim of a Molotov cocktail attack during the social mobilisation day on Saturday 31 October, classified by the executive as being "high-risk". This incident is part of a third mobilisation organised in three weeks, marked by violent incidents in the late afternoon in several cities across the country.
The marches, gathered from 2 p.m. at a distance from city centres, initially took place peacefully. However, clashes emerged in the late afternoon, with the incendiary weapon attack against law enforcement among the incidents reported. The police officer provided direct testimony of the facts, documented by BFM TV.
This new flare-up of violence comes against a backdrop of recurring social tensions, three weeks after the previous protest days. The executive had anticipated a high risk of incidents during this third mobilisation organised in such a short space of time.
