Prosecutor investigation into Marinakis–Dimitriadis incident at Telecom Center
The head of Athens District Prosecutors' Office has ordered an urgent investigation into the incident between Vangelis Marinakis and Grigoris Dimitriadis shortly before the Euroleague final.
Own-motion proceedings for incident at OAKA
As reported by ERT, Aristeidis Koreas, head of Athens District Prosecutors' Office, issued an urgent order to the Department for Protection Against Sports Violence following the incident between Olympiacos president Vangelis Marinakis and Grigoris Dimitriadis at the Telecom Center of OAKA.
The incident occurred a short time before the start of the Euroleague final. The prosecutorial order concerns meticulous examination of video footage that captured the incident.
The aim of the investigation is to determine whether criminal offences are evident. Should these be established, the authorities intend to immediately initiate the prescribed own-motion proceedings.
