An unknown man approached with petrol and set fire to the garden of a detached house in Artemida while a family was sleeping inside. Police are conducting an investigation.

In the early morning of 3 September, an unknown man set fire to the garden of a detached house in Artemida while the residents — including a minor child — were sleeping inside the house, In.gr reports.
According to a complaint from a resident of the area, the incident occurred around 23:30. A young man, holding a torch and a bottle of petrol, approached the property and set fire to the garden, putting the residents' lives in immediate danger.
Police were notified immediately and are conducting investigations to locate and arrest the perpetrator.
The homeowner is making an appeal to neighbours, particularly those living opposite the large sports ground near the trolleybus stop, to check their security camera files. Anyone who has footage that may have recorded the suspect's movements is urged to contact her or the police.
"Today it happened to us, tomorrow it could happen to anyone," the resident stated, emphasising that there are individuals circulating who pose an immediate threat to the safety and property of citizens in the area.
