A complaint filed by a 28-year-old woman in Heraklion, Crete has sparked a manhunt to locate her former partner, a 42-year-old businessman. The complainant alleges that she was subjected to intimidation and abusive behaviour by the man.
According to Newsbeast, police investigations began immediately. The day after the complaint was filed, officers went to the location where the suspect conducted his business, as part of a flagrante delicto procedure.
The 42-year-old noticed the presence of the authorities and attempted to escape. He got into a car and drove away hastily. As he was leaving, he ran a red light and subsequently struck a parked vehicle without stopping.
Since then, the man has remained missing. Prosecutors continue their search for him. The incident is being investigated as a domestic violence case.
