A coordinated police operation in Zakynthos led to the arrest of two people and the discovery of an entire weapons cache that had been hidden in rented apartments. The prosecuting authorities dismantled a criminal group that had been active in the trafficking of psychotropic substances and illegal weapons possession.

During searches conducted in the presence of a judicial officer, nine pistols of various types and calibres, twenty-two magazines, 2,372 rounds of ammunition, handcuffs, knives, an axe, rods, brass knuckles, metal fitting components, a bulletproof vest and mobile phone equipment were found and seized.

Additionally, police officers located and seized 1,200 grammes of unrefined cannabis, 10.5 grammes of cocaine, 5.8 grammes of crystalline methamphetamine, 1,200 drug tablets, 5,000 euros in cash, vehicle registration plates, precision scales and packaging for the substances.
