Ioannina: Driver arrested after hitting and abandoning 31-year-old cyclist
The driver turned himself in to Ioannina Traffic Police on Monday and was arrested. The collision occurred at midnight on 24 May in the Anatoli area.

According to Ta Nea, a case file for involuntary manslaughter and violation of traffic law has been opened against a car driver who struck a 31-year-old cyclist at midnight on 24 May in the Anatoli area of Ioannina.
The cyclist succumbed to his injuries. The driver left the scene without providing assistance.
Officers from Ioannina Traffic Police collected evidence that led to the identification and location of the vehicle involved. The driver, owner of the car, presented himself on the afternoon of Monday, 25 May at Traffic Police headquarters and was arrested in flagrante delicto.
The arrested person is to be brought before the Public Prosecutor of the Court of First Instance of Ioannina.
