A woman has been arrested in Keratea for two cases of arson that she caused within a minimal timeframe.

Police officers from the department investigating arson crimes have arrested a 43-year-old woman in Keratea, who is alleged to have started two fires within minutes of each other. The authorities found her in possession of paper napkins and a lit cigarette.
Initially, the suspect attempted to mislead the police officers, saying that she did not know how the fires had started and blaming passing motorcyclists. However, when visual evidence from surveillance cameras was presented to her, her defence collapsed and she confessed.
According to Naftemporiki, the defendant explained that she had become irritated by the noise of her children and did not have full awareness of her actions.
The arrested woman is expected to appear before an investigating judge on Friday next week.
