A 55-year-old man was arrested on Sunday evening in Cholargos after first causing a traffic accident and then attempting to flee by boarding a public bus.
The incident occurred on Mesogion Avenue, in the traffic flow towards Agia Paraskevi. The 55-year-old, while driving his car, collided with two other vehicles. Instead of remaining at the scene, he attempted to disappear by boarding a scheduled bus route.
Police officers who arrived at the scene located the man and arrested him. During the subsequent inspection, it was established that he did not possess a driving licence.
The arrested man was taken to the competent police station for further proceedings.
