Four minors, aged 14-16, attacked a young woman in central Athens to steal her mobile phone. They beat her violently on the head and stomach and left her injured on the street.

A 20-year-old young woman was attacked by four minors in central Athens with the aim of stealing her smartphone. The incident took place in the early morning hours in the Monastiraki area.
The group of perpetrators consisted of two girls and two boys, with their ages ranging between 14 and 16 years old. The four attacked the woman with particular brutality, beating her on the head and stomach, in order to remove the device from her. After leaving her injured on the roadway, they disappeared.
Police officers from the DIAS team located and arrested them on Hiera Odos. During the investigation of the case, it emerged that two of the boys had engaged the authorities before regarding similar incidents.
According to information, approximately ten days before the specific attack, the same individuals had broken into a petrol station in Pangrati. They had entered while holding a large knife, had threatened the employee and had taken his mobile phone as well as a sum of money.
The petrol station employee described the incident: "They came in with the knife in their hand. They asked for the money, we gave it because we couldn't put our lives in danger. I didn't have time to do anything, I called the police straight away."
In audio material brought to light by MEGA, a concerning online dialogue between the young people was captured. The minors arrange a meeting for a fight in Marousi, whilst one of them is heard insisting that he will bring a knife.
"I'll come on Saturday and I will have brought a knife. My friend, I'm telling you I'm bringing the knife. If you want we'll fight normally I don't have a problem, I don't have a problem. We're talking about street fights you can never be sure," the minor is heard saying.
This audio had been posted on social media, causing concern about the gang's activities. The four minors were taken to the competent authorities, whilst the investigation continues to determine whether they are also involved in other similar attacks.
