A search of a 50-year-old man's home in Siteia uncovered a hunting rifle, a flare gun, a stun pistol, cannabis and seeds.

Police officers from the Lasithi Security Department and the local Siteia unit proceeded to arrest a 50-year-old man on the afternoon of 8 July 2026, in an area under the jurisdiction of the Siteia Municipality.
The man is accused of violating laws governing narcotics and weapons. The authorities searched his residence along with auxiliary spaces at his disposal.
As part of the operation, police officers located and seized various items. Among these were a hunting rifle that was not stored securely, a flare gun, a stun gas pistol and a metal detector. Additionally, 11.8 grammes of cannabis, one cannabis plant, precision scales and seeds were found.
The case is now being handled by the Siteia Police Department.
