Authorities in Thessaloniki have opened a file against a 28-year-old woman who posed as a man to a minor under 15 years old, developed a romantic relationship with her, and distributed illegal material via the internet.

A serious case involving the corruption of a minor, the distribution of illegal child material, and breach of personal data is being investigated by the Subdivision for the Protection of Minors of the Directorate for the Prosecution of Cybercrime in Thessaloniki.
According to Newsbeast, authorities have opened a file against a 28-year-old woman from the western side of the city. The investigation began following a complaint and revealed that the suspect had maintained contact with a girl who had not yet turned 15.
The accused is alleged to have concealed her true identity, presenting false information about both her gender and age, posing as a man. Through this tactic, according to reports, she managed to deceive the minor and develop a romantic relationship with her, which lasted from July of the previous year until February of the current year.
Furthermore, through digital social media platforms, the woman is alleged to have created, sent, received and possessed illegal child material, as part of an exchange of messages with images and audio with the minor.
The file of the case has already been forwarded to the competent prosecutor, who will determine the next legal steps.
