Four young people charged with selling drugs to children in Čakovec, ordering by post from abroad
The Varaždin County State Attorney's Office has launched an investigation against four people for selling drugs to children and adults in Čakovec. The drugs were ordered by post from abroad, and one child was given a joint.

The Varaždin County State Attorney's Office has launched an investigation against four people – three young men and one young woman – on suspicion of unlawful production and trafficking of drugs and enabling their consumption, according to Večernji list. The accused are aged 18, 18, 20 and 25 years old.
According to the prosecution's allegations, the 18-year-old obtained cannabis, amphetamine and synthetic cannabinoid in Čakovec from 24 December 2025 to 16 March 2026. The drug was, with the involvement of the 25-year-old and other unidentified persons, sold on multiple occasions to children and adults at prices ranging from 10 to 220 euros. He is also suspected of making his flat available to one person for drug consumption and of reselling testosterone, steroids and hormones – substances prohibited in sport – for 50 euros between 16 and 20 March 2026.
The 25-year-old is accused of intermediating in drug sales between various people on four occasions between 23 February and 14 March 2026 and of offering drugs for sale himself.
The other 18-year-old ordered drugs from abroad via postal packages from the beginning of January to the end of February 2026, which arrived in the name of the 20-year-old woman and under fictitious names. The packages delivered via various delivery services contained marijuana, MDMA, amphetamine, 5-APB or 6-APB and cocaine. The prosecution suspects him of also giving a joint to one child for consumption.
The same charge of giving a joint to a child applies to the 20-year-old woman, who is accused of agreeing that packages with drugs from abroad arrive in her name. In addition, both are suspected of reselling the ordered drugs.
On the prosecution's motion, the three young men have been remanded in custody – all three because of the danger of repeating the criminal offence, and two of them also because of possible influence on witnesses.
