Two 26-year-olds arrested in Rijeka: one wanted for attempted murder, cannabis found on the other
Rijeka police arrested two fugitives on Friday for whom searches had been issued. A forged identity card, a signal jamming device, and drugs were found.
Two fugitives found in Rijeka, handed over to Rijeka prison
Rijeka police found and arrested two 26-year-olds on Friday for whom searches had been issued, the Primorsko-Goranska Police Directorate reported. Both were handed over to Rijeka prison on the basis of decisions by the Rijeka County Court which had previously determined investigative detention for them.
According to police statements reported by Večernji list, investigative detention was determined for one of the arrested men due to attempted murder on Trsat in December of last year, endangering life and property by a generally dangerous act, and obstruction of evidence. Detention was determined for the other due to facilitating drug use.
On the basis of an order from the Rijeka County Court, searches of homes and other premises were carried out. During these, a forged Slovenian identity card, a signal jamming device, money, and other items linked to criminal offences were discovered.
Around 15 grams of cannabis was found on one of the two arrested men. Because of this, a charge was filed against him in accordance with the provisions of the Act on the Prevention of Drug Abuse, police stated.
