Croatian and Serbian hackers arrested over cyber attacks on Zagreb companies
Police have completed an investigation into two hackers over attacks on computer systems at companies and organisations in Zagreb. A Croatian national has been handed over to a detention supervisor, while the Serbian national is already in investigative custody.
Two suspects accused of cyber attacks on Zagreb organisations
The Ministry of Interior has announced, according to Index.hr, that police have completed a criminal investigation into a Croatian and Serbian national suspected of carrying out a series of cyber attacks. The investigation represents a continuation of earlier actions related to attacks on computer systems.
Both are being charged with serious criminal offences against computer systems, programmes and data, as well as unauthorised use of personal data, with a company based in Zagreb named as the injured party.
The Serbian national is additionally charged with the same criminal offences committed against a Zagreb citizens' association.
Following the completion of the investigation, the suspected Croatian national has been handed over to a detention supervisor. Criminal charges against both have been filed with the Zagreb County State Attorney's Office. The Serbian national has been in investigative custody in the capital since earlier.
The criminal investigation of the case is ongoing.
